Balboa low water-speed flow regulator for heat pumps

This Balboa control valve is used in conjunction with a bypass circuit, to maintain the speed of water flow within the recommended limits for a Clim8zone heat pump. It is designed to be used with 2-inch pipes, and pumps with a maximum power rating of 1.5 kW.

If you are using thinner pipes, or more powerful pumps, or both, then you should use the high-velocity flow controller instead.

The reference UL FILE E145689 is indicated on the valve but this is also the case on the high-velocity flow controller (73002). It is essential to measure the diameter of the window that holds the spring in place to determine which valve it is (refer to picture no. 2).
