Gecko in.temp reversible heat pump
The Gecko in. temp heat pump is easy to install and use, thanks to its automatic detection by the control system and its intelligent energy consumption management. It is compatible with Gecko in.yt and in.ye control systems using the RS-485 interface, with software version 61 revision 54 or higher.
The in.temp has heating, cooling and automatic modes to raise or lower the water temperature whatever the season, from -5°C to 43°C.
The heat pump is directly connected to the control system with a connection cable, and will be automatically detected. A dedicated interface on the keypad then allows you to control all temperature parameters and mode settings. There is no additional electrical circuit required, as the in.temp works directly from the spa control system.
If you have the in.touch2 WiFi module installed on your spa, you can also control the in.temp heat pump directly from your smartphone, using the "in.touch2" app. You can easily raise or lower the temperature at specific times, for even greater energy savings.
Gecko announces a 75% energy saving compared to a conventional heater, for the same use of your spa at a lower cost. The heat pump can also work together with your standard electric spa heater to increase heating power and significantly reduce heating times.
Six different operating modes are available, depending on your climate and preferences. The intelligent modes allow you to take full advantage of the in.temp to optimize its performance and your savings.
The in.temp comes with an accessory kit including silent-blocks and fittings for 1.5 inch and 50 mm pipes, a communication cable and a power cord.

**The EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) of the in.temp when operating in cooling mode is 3.2 at an ambient temperature of 35°C.
Connections and installation
The Gecko in.temp heat pump is supplied with 1.5 inch and 50 mm pipe fittings and gaskets.
It can be mounted on a circulation pump and a two-speed pump circuit. A bypass, consisting of three valves, must be installed to adjust water flow to the in.temp and to isolate the apparatus for maintenance purpose. For a more stable flow in the heat exchanger, it is recommended to install the in.temp on the pressure side of the main pump.
Connecting the power cord
The in.temp is intended to be powered by the spa control using the included power cable (length 5 meters) but it can also be powered by an external circuit breaker.
Connecting the communication cable
The in.temp heat pump is delivered with a pre-installed 5 meter long communication cable, which transmits data between the heat pump and the control system. It must be connected to the RS-485 communication port of the spa control system. Please contact us with any questions about the installation process.
Compatible control systems
The in.temp is compatible with Gecko Y-series control systems, such as the in.yt-8 and in.ye-5, featuring the RS-485 interface (see the technical documentation of your control system). It requires core 61 software revision 54 or higher. This heat pump is not compatible with the in.yt-7 control system.
